Anna-Lisa George

Anna-Lisa George is a WCEA representative on the WASC Commission. In her nearly thirty years in Catholic education, Anna-Lisa George has served as teacher, department chair, and administrator. She is particularly interested in the development of curriculum and assessments, effective technology integration, horizontal and vertical curriculum alignment, and promoting collaboration and teamwork among colleagues. She began serving on WASC and WCEA accreditation teams in 1994 and since then has served as chair and/or member of over 25 visiting committees. She finds the self-study and accreditation process to be a powerful tool for growth in schools. Most of her career has been spent doing what she loves most: teaching English and coaching the academic decathlon team. She enjoys fostering a love of reading and writing in her students and instilling in them a love of learning.
