| The Accrediting Commission for Schools, WASC, maintains a Directory of Schools. The directory provides information about those schools currently accredited by WASC and those schools that have been granted the status of candidacy for a period of three years. |

Accredited Schools
The Accredited Schools section is an excellent resource to obtain information about the schools currently accredited by WASC. The following information is provided for each school:
- School name, address, phone number, and WASC ID number
- California public schools are listed by district following the alphabetical listing of schools
- Grade levels except for postsecondary, adult education, and ROCPs
- Type of school: public, non-public, multi-campus, postsecondary, or charter
- The span of years for which a school has been accredited (years shown, i.e., 1972/2006, indicates when the school was first accredited and the year through which the school is currently accredited)

Candidate Schools The Candidate Schools section provides information about the schools that have been granted the status of candidacy for a period of three years. This is an affiliation that indicates that an institution has achieved initial recognition and is progressing toward, but does not assume, accreditation. These schools are strengthening their program and operation as they move into the full evaluation process based on the WASC criteria for accreditation. |
